I totally agree with the writer, he is one of the best player India ever head. I guess media like garam masala and always talk about good players who are going thru tough times. where sports star icons are endrosing more money, what do u expect from some looser players like, viru, pathan, dhoni and so forth. Tell sport stars dnt do the F###### commercial and concenterate on circket.

Dravid was best, still best and will be, he is 1 cool guy in whole Indian sports world.

I didn’t say that at all! I wouldn’t put forth such an ignorant approach to life either.

I never said that we should ignore the economic aspect of life. I made the point that in my own life I have enjoyed many activities and pursuits that paid little or that I had to pay to enjoy (Brazilian Jiu-jitsu).

I enjoy my present work as a professor, but there are many activities that I enjoy more. But those activites don’t pay as well. I am saying that whatever is chosen the day to day aspects of the job/career should be considered. If you are not doing activities you will enjoy you will be miserable.

As far as the comment that for some people economics is all that matters, I am referring to the idea that some people choose vocations or jobs simply for the money. Some because they see or have no other alternative; others because they value the money more than they do their own ‘well-being.’

Good luck with whatever decision you make.

Trust in one’s decision is really important in these matters. What really matters in the end is the enjoyment of the pursuit. Economics aside, I’ve had more fun in situations that have paid little or none than in some where I have been paid outrageous sums. But for some many people economics is all that matters.
